These renders are inspired by the novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, and also inspired by my general feelings during quarantine.
I had some trouble with rendering the lighting. My issue is trying to eliminating noise from the object light on the laptop during the render – especially because I want the laptop image to be legible, but I still want light coming from the screen to help illuminate the figure. I tried changing the render settings (increased samples, lighting samples etc.) but it didn’t seem to make a noticeable improvement.
The warning sign placed in the corner of the images is a common warning sign you’ll see in diagnostic software when working with 3D models in that are non-manifold – or have various other defects.
I created all the 3D models in both Maya and ZBrush aside from the female figure and the 3D printer, which were taken from Mixamo and GrabCad respectively.
